about
This track was written in an incredibly tumultuous time in my life. I wrote it as a way to deal with a relationship breakdown. Nearly a 10 Year relationship. The song outlines the experience, then explores the repercussions on my life. I hope this resonates with some of you. xo
lyrics
Came home from Europe
Said you needed space
Felt like you were drowning
Under my embrace
So, I told you I could change
But you said that it’s too late
But I can make the things you hate
Disappear with age
Time is against us slow it down, slow it down
Let’s get help and rewind, rewind
It’s been a month since you told me
But you're already gone
Sleeping in the same bed
But you’re a thousand miles away
If only I could
Make you see how I feel
Maybe then you would
Take me with you my dear
Time is against us slow it down, slow it down
Let’s get help and rewind, rewind
Time is against us slow it down, slow it down
Let’s get help and rewind, rewind
I will hold on to the slightest hope
I can’t give up on the years that we’ve put in
Tell me that you’re willing to try again
Tell me quickly cause
Time is against us slow it down, slow it down
Let’s get help and rewind, rewind
Time is against us slow it down, slow it down
Let’s get help and rewind, rewind
